SOLAR SYSTEM SURVEY & DESIGNER
About the Position:
Bison Roofing and Solar is seeking a SOLAR SURVEYOR AND DESIGNER to join its the team at its
Corporate Headquarters in South Florida and to provide field support to the roofing operations team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Go to customer premises to measure and evaluate roof for readiness to install solar system.
- Design solar system to the size specifications requested by customer and as reflected in customer agreement.
- Make efficient and eye pleasing designs.
- Use company CAD and other systems for the system design.
- Engage with engineering and management for final approval of designs.
- Support the company’s project management work flow for timely project installation and excellent customer satisfaction.
- Communicate timely with Manager on any issues encountered at the site and ensure prompt resolution.
- Great time management and organization skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication and problem solving skills.
- Good driving record.
- Experience opening electrical panels a plus.
- Work schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, starting at 7am.
- Pay $18-$20 per hour, depending on experience.
Roofing Quality Specialist
- Conduct site surveys ahead of construction to validate scope of work and measurements, update material order requirements if needed, and recommend potentially needed contract change orders.
- Monitor job site conditions and conduct independent in-progress and project completion quality and safety reviews to ensure compliance.
- Conduct periodic audit of crew roster and identity checks as well as periodic review of crew insurance documents.
- Meet inspectors and facilitate passing inspections.
- Conduct customer end-of-project walk-throughs/sign-offs.
- Issue written communications on job site conditions and results in a timely and detailed manner.
- Maintain robust and effective communication with the Roofing Manager and coordinate as needed with the Project Manager.
- Check in roofing material deliveries to ensure that all ordered materials are received.
Solar Quality Specialist
- Monitor job site conditions and conduct independent in-progress and project completion quality and safety reviews to ensure compliance.
- Conduct periodic audit of crew roster and identity checks as well as periodic review of crew insurance documents.
- Implement electrical and other solar equipment labeling needed to support inspections
- Meet inspectors and facilitate passing inspections.
- Conduct customer end-of-project walk-throughs/sign-offs.
- Execute commissioning procedures to enable Bison to “turn-on” new solar systems.
- Issue written communications on job site conditions and results in a timely and detailed manner.
- Maintain robust and effective communication with the Solar Manager and coordinate as needed with the Project Manager.
Roof Runner
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Excellent driving record and ability to haul and maneuver a trailer.
• Picking up & deliver materials to various jobs sites throughout the day.
• Assist with everyday duties including job & tile clean ups, pressure
cleaning, dump runs, resolving punch list items, etc.
• Be the communications link between the customer and the field team.
• Support Manager in ensuring safe and compliant work environment.
• Physically willing and able to lift up to 90 lbs.
• Great time management and organization skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
• Minimum one year construction industry experience.
• Pay $16-$18 per hour, depending on experience
Permit Administrator
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Track permit status daily & maintain current written status at all times.
- Communicate with internal teams, customers, and city for quick turn-around.
- Follow up & work with the permit agency to secure permits in a timely manner.
- Keep customers apprised of permit status.
- Work closely with manager and internal teams to ensure guidelines & requirements are being met.
- Obtain required approvals for permits.
- Submit permit requests.
- Support permit manager in other aspects of permitting function as needed.
- Strong verbal and written communication and people skills required.
Solar Site Evaluator
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Excellent driving record & reliable transportation.
- Ability to place and safely climb a ladder and evaluate roofing according to company requirements.
- Ability to learn and apply company systems and processes for effective site evaluation.
- Update the required systems and reports in a timely manner.
- Strong time management and organization skills to meet all appointments and assigned responsibilities as scheduled.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with customers.
- One year or contruction/electrical industry experience preferred.
- Pay $14-16 per hour, depending on experience.
Neighborhood Canvasser
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reliable transportation.
- Physical ability to walk around neighborhoods to visit homeowners.
- Ability and interest in learning about Bison Solar & Roofing products and services in order to educate customers about the benefits.
- Ability to learn and apply company systems and processes for effective lead generation.
- Outgoing, friendly personality with strong communication skills to be able to “get the foot in the door” for potential new customers.
- Passion for solar energy and the ability to convey that excitement to homeowners.
- Time management skills.
- Paid training. This is a position that gives you the ability to earn full-time pay while working part-time, and is the pathway to a six-figure sales career!
