Bison Roofing & Solar LLC, Bison Roofing LLC and Bison Roofing Florida LLC (individually or collectively referred to herein as “Bison”, “we”, “us” or “our”), is strongly committed to protecting the privacy of you, our customers and all users of our website, social media, as well as our products and services, including text messaging services and email communications (collectively, “Services”). In light of this commitment, our Privacy Policy is detailed below.

Please read this Privacy Policy thoroughly. By using Bison’s websites and our Services, you agree to our collection, use, and discretionary sharing of your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy may be updated at any time, and will make the effort to publish such changes in a timely manner. Any and all changes and updates to our Privacy Policy will be effective immediately. By using the Bison website and services, you consent to the terms of the most recent Privacy Policy. Collection and use of personal information

We may collect information directly from you when you provide it to us through use of our Site or Services. This includes when you purchase products or services, request information from us, sign up for newsletters or our email list, enter into any promotions or our referral program, fill out surveys, request customer support, or otherwise communicate with or contact us. Through the use of our Site and Services we may collect Personal Information (“PI”), which is information that identifies you or relates to you as an identifiable individual. PI may include, but is not limited to:

  • Your first and last name
  • Home or business address
  • Email address
  • Telephone number
  • Home ownership
  • Home statistics
  • Home energy usage
  • Utility provider information
  • Demographic information
  • Other personally identifiable information

When doing business with Bison, we may also combine the PI that we collect on our Site with information we collect about you offline during any telephone or email communications.

PI Provided by You

We collect PI when you use our Site and Services. We do not require you to provide PI in order to navigate our Site, however if you choose to use our Services, we must collect certain PI. This may include any of your questions, comments, or suggestions submitted through our Site or if you fill out a survey. 

When you voluntarily provide us with your name, phone number, email, and other PI on our Site, you are giving us express written consent to use that information for the purposes indicated. Express written consent to communicate information to you that is related to your engagement with Bison, so long as you have not given us instructions to the contrary. You may revoke this consent at any time by any appropriate method. You may choose to opt out of certain communications that do not have to do with your specific account information. 

Site Usage Information

We may automatically collect any or all of the following types of information when you use our site:

  • Usage Information:  Information automatically through your use of our Site, including the pages on our Site that you access, the frequency of access, any forms filled out, videos and images viewed, and what you click on while on our Site. 
  • Location Information:  Information about your physical location that can be determined from GPS and other settings on your device. This may reveal information about Wi-Fi access points and cell towers. 
  • Device Information:  Information about the device you are using, such as hardware model, operating system, application version number, browser, and IP addresses.
  • Mobile Device Information:  When you access our Site through a browser on your mobile device, we may also collect mobile network information including telephone number, the unique device identifier assigned to that device, mobile carrier, operating system, and other device attributes.

Marketing Communications 

We provide our customers, as well as individuals referred by our customers, the opportunity to opt out of having their PI used for purposes not directly related to placement, processing, fulfillment, or delivery of a product or service.

To opt out of marketing communications or to request to be added to our Do Not Call List or Do Not Mail List, you can use one of these options:

  • Email Offers: If you receive commercial email from us, you may unsubscribe at any time by following the instructions contained within the email. You should note that unsubscribing from our emails will not automatically unsubscribe you from emails sent by third parties. You will need to separately unsubscribe from such third party’s communication.
  • Direct Mail Offers: If you do not wish to receive postal mail regarding products, services, events, programs, and offers that we believe you may find of interest, send us an email or write to us at our business address.
  • Telemarketing: If you do not want to receive marketing phone calls from us, you may email us at info@bisonroofingandsolar.com or mail us at our business address. Once your name is placed on our “Do Not Call” list, we will no longer call you for marketing purposes (unless you submit another inquiry or request another consultation/quote from us after your initial do-not-call request). We will honor your request as soon as reasonably possible. 

Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies

“Cookies” are small text files that are stored within your computer’s or mobile device’s memory by a website on your browser. Cookies enable websites like ours to keep track of your activities on our website, and to improve your experience on our website.

You are free to change your browser settings on your personal computer or mobile device so that cookies are not stored. You can also choose to browse “Incognito”. If you reject cookies, you will still be able to use our Site, but your ability to use some functions of our Site may be limited. 

Aggregate Information

Statistical or aggregated information does not individually identify you or any specific person, but it may be derived from your PI. For example, we may collect PI to calculate the percentage of users in a particular ZIP code.

Third-Party Data Collection

Some content or applications accessible through our Site may be provided by third parties, including analytics companies (ie: Google Analytics), payment processors, and advertising providers. Our Site includes social media features, such as the Facebook “Like” button and other widgets. These third parties may independently use cookies or other tracking technologies to collect information about you when you use our Site. The information they collect may be associated with your PI or they may collect information, including PI, about your online activities over time and across different websites and other online services.

We do not have control over these third-party tracking technologies that are accessible through our Site or how they may be used. If you have questions about an advertisement, widget, or any other content, you should read that company’s specific privacy policy. These are provided by the third-party website, or you may contact the responsible provider directly. These third parties may provide you with ways to opt out of having your information collected or used for targeted advertising. 

A third-party service we use is Google Analytics. Google utilizes data collected to track the use of our Site and may share this data with other Google services. Bison’s Use and Sharing of Information

The following are examples of the way we use the PI that we collect: 

  • To Provide Services to You: We use PI in order to provide Services that you request. 
  • To Communicate with You: We use PI to communicate with you about our Site and Services. We may also use your PI to send you updates or other communications regarding your account, or to send you information, recommendations and promotions that we believe will be of interest to you. 
  • Using Other Media:  Please note that Bison may use other electronic media for communications (such as social media), which have their own separate privacy policies that govern the privacy of information that is shared or collected through your use of them.
  • Specific Purposes:  You may be asked to provide information for a specific purpose or project (other than those described in this Privacy Policy). In such cases we will only use that information for that purpose. 
  • Customer Support:  We may use your PI to provide you with support and/or other services requested. As an example, we may need to contact you to provide technical support or answer questions about Bison.  
  • To Improve Our Services: We may use your PI for statistical analyses, surveys, and market research to improve our Site and/or Services. We may also use the information collected on our Site to personalize and better your experience on our Site.
  • Site Maintenance:  We analyze how our users interact with our Site in order to maintain and consistently improve our Site. We also use information that we collect to diagnose any issues that may arise with our Site. 
  • Legitimate Business Purposes:  We may use your PI for other business purposes as permitted by applicable law.  

We reserve the right to share information with third parties, as described below:

  • Service Providers:  We may share information with service providers that (i) help us perform Site functions, or (ii) provide services to us for business purposes, as permitted by applicable law.  This information sharing is subject to a confidentiality agreement protecting that information.  
  • Corporate Structure:  We may share information in connection with a contemplated or actual merger, acquisition, consolidation, change of control, or sale of all or a portion of our assets or if we undergo bankruptcy or liquidation.
  • Affiliates: We may share your information with affiliates and subsidiaries, parent companies and joint ventures to the extent permitted by law.
  • Marketing Partners and Other Third Parties: Bison does not monetize your PI. Bison may share your information with our online and email advertisers or other third-party vendors we use. They may provide cookies, pixel tags, web beacons, clear GIFs or other similar technologies for use on our Sites or other websites to manage and improve our online and email advertising campaigns. 
  • To Prevent Harm:  We may share information if it is found necessary to detect, investigate, prevent, or take action against illegal activities, fraud, or threats to the rights, property, or personal safety of any person. 
  • For Legal Purposes:  We will share information when we are legally required, such as in response to court or regulatory agency orders, legal proceedings, to exercise Bison’s legal rights; to defend against legal claims or demands; or to comply with the requirements of any applicable law.
  • With Your Consent:  In special cases, we may ask your permission to share your PI for a specific purpose that is not described above. In such cases, we will always notify you and ask for your consent prior to the PI being shared. 

Security

The security of your PI is important to Bison. We maintain physical, technical, and administrative security measures to protect and limit access to your PI. No transmission via the Internet or electronic storage technology is guaranteed to be secure, though we strive to use acceptable means to protect your PI. 

You should use discretion in the personal information you send to us by email. Email sent over the Internet is not guaranteed to be secure nor is it guaranteed that it will not be intercepted by others before it reaches us. We do not take responsibility for the security of information contained in emails sent over the Internet. 

Applicable Law

This is a U.S.-based Site that is subject to U.S. law. If you are visiting our Site from any location outside of the U.S., you hereby agree that your use of our Site and our collection and use of your PI is subject to this Privacy Policy. When you submit PI to us, you are agreeing to permit us to access, store, and use the information wherever in the world we do business, both inside and outside the United States.

Children’s Privacy

Our Site is intended to provide general information about Bison and  our Services. We will never knowingly collect PI from children under the age of 13 years. Additionally, we will not knowingly disclose PI collected from children. If we become aware that a child under the age of 13 has accidentally provided us with PI, we take immediate steps to delete any and all information collected.

Links to Third-Party Websites

Our Site may offer links to websites operated by third parties that collect PI. We do not control nor are responsible for their privacy policies, practices, and/or content. Any PI collected by a third-party website is governed by their own policies. Please contact these third-party websites directly for more information about the privacy of your PI.  

Disclosure to Government 

We reserve the right to monitor and disclose, without your consent, any communications, or PI whenever requested by courts, government agencies, or law enforcement authorities.
